SolidSpace's outreach program works with the 5th Annual Egg Drop Competition to educate K-12th graders on the importance of math, science and technology.
Winston-Salem, NC (PRweb) February 18, 2008- SolidSpace announced today its collaborative sponsorship of the Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County 5th Annual Egg Drop Competition, to be held at Hanes Mall on Saturday, February 23, 2008. SolidSpace, a leading provider of IT hosting and network services, donated website hosting services for the event.
The egg drop competition inspires K-12th graders to experiment in engineering and science. The school groups, families and individuals are challenged to make an apparatus that will prevent an egg from breaking as it falls 21.5 feet from the second floor of the mall. This competition is an excellent opportunity to encourage students to consider math, science and technology as career options.
